Ingredients

  1. 500 gramsraw mango
  2. 200 gramsjaggery
  3. 3/4 cupblack vinegar(preferably fruit vinegar)
  4. 1 tspsalt
  5. 1 tsprock salt
  6. 1 tspnigella seeds
  7. 4-5dry red chillies
  8. 6-8garlic cloves
  9. 1 tspred chilli powder
  10. 1 tsproasted cumin powder
  11. 1/2 tspginger powder

Cooking Instructions

    Peel and cut mango into small pieces(8-10pieces of 1 med mango)

    Put in a heavy based vessel,add 1 tbsp water,salt and garlic cloves.Cover and cook on low flame till soft.If needed add a little water.

    Add jaggery,cover and cook on low heat, till jaggery melts.Add chilli powder,cumin powder and ginger powder.Add whole red chillies also.Mix well.

    Add vinegar,mix well,cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.Now syrup is thick,put off heat.

    Add nigella seeds,mix well and let it cool.Khatta meetha sirke wala aam ka achar is ready.

    Store in a dry air tight container.You may store it upto 1 year.Serve with meal.
