Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsflour
  2. 1 Tablespoonbaking powder
  3. 1.5 TablespoonsSugar
  4. 1 teaspoonsalt
  5. 1 stickmelted butter
  6. 1/3 cupmilk
  7. 6apples, peeled and sliced
  8. 1 poundbacon
  9. 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  10. 2 teaspoonginger
  11. 2 teaspoonginger
  12. 1 teaspooncayenne

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 425.

    Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl

  3. 3

    Add milk and butter. Stir until a shaggy dough comes together.

  4. 4

    Place parchment on a cookie sheet. Use a spoon to drop scoops off dough onto the sheet. (Should make about 12, depending on how big you like biscuits.)

    Bake 9-11 minutes, or until just golden on top.

    While the biscuits bake, slice bacon into half inch pieces and add to a large pan or pot. Cook until just starting to crisp.

    Remove about half of the bacon grease.

    Add apples, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and cayenne to the pot.

    Simmer until apples soften and a sauce forms.

    Serve apple bacon mixture over biscuits.
