Ingredients

8 dahi vada
  1. For vada
  2. 1 cupurad dal (split black lentils)
  3. 2green chillies
  4. 12mm piece of ginger
  5. 1 pinchbaking soda
  6. salt to taste
  7. oil for deep-frying
  8. 3 cupwhisked dahi
  9. For serving
  10. 1 tspgreen chutney
  11. chilli powder
  12. roasted cumin seeds (jeera) powder
  13. 2 tspsugar
  14. salt to taste
  15. 1 tspred chutney
  16. Coriander for garnish

Cooking Instructions

    Soak the urad dal in water for 3- 4 hour

    Combine the urad dal, ginger and green chillies and grind to a smooth paste in a blender.

    Add the soda bi-carb and salt to the urad dal paste and mix well till the batter is light and fluffy. Add a little water if required.

    Deep fry the vada

    Soak the deep fried vadas in warm water for about 45 minutes.

    Take dahi ni bowl add sugar in and soaked vadas in it and keep it aside

    Take a serving bowl add dahi vada in it and add all topping in it and serving dahi vada
