Ingredients

  1. 1 poundpork ground
  2. 1 poundlamb ground
  3. to taste Salt
  4. 1small onion
  5. 1thick slice bread soaked in milk
  6. 1eggs
  7. 2 tablespoonsbutter
  8. to taste Pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Take head of cabbage apart. Pour boiling water over cabbage and drain. Place heart of cabbage in pan cut side up. Mix remaining ingredients. Spread mixture on cabbage leaves. Return to cabbage heart. Cover with cheesecloth tie without kitchen string. Put in pot with a little salt boil about 2 hours. Serve wit sauce made of 1 tablespoon flour 1 tablespoon butter and enough broth to make a gravy.season with salt and pepper.
