Ingredients

  1. 1 cupwhite flour sifted
  2. 2. Cups sifted whole wheat flour
  3. 1/2 cupsugar
  4. 1 cupchopped dates
  5. 1/2 cupmolasses
  6. 1/2 teaspoonsoda
  7. 1 teaspoonsalt
  8. 3/4 cupnuts of your choice (I use slivered almonds)
  9. 2 cupsbutter milk
  10. 2 teaspoonbaking powder
  11. Add milk and molasses to dry ingredients and mix well
  12. Pour in greased loaf pan
  13. Bake 1 hour at 350
