Chimichurri Black Beans Chimichurri Black Beans
I originally wanted to make Cuban black beans. But then I had a bunch of leftover chimichurri sauce.... soooo this happened! The minute I tasted it, I KNEW, I would never make beans any other way again. Had to share it with you guys! The vinegar in the chimichurri gives a perfect hint of acidity to balance the hearty beans. Tuna and bean salad Tuna and bean salad
This makes a tasty healthy lunch that is filling. I didn't measure any of the spices out. I just taste and adjust the seasoning to my liking. If you can't find the tajin clasico seasoning with lime I'm sure you can substitute with a little squeeze of lime juice or lime zest and get a similar flavor. Feel free to change the type of beans you use. I was thinking of trying black beans next time or a mixture of both !😊 carrie -
Mock Shiruko! With Kidney Beans Mock Shiruko! With Kidney Beans
I had some shiratamako anyway so I decided to make some instant shiruko out of kidney beans to go with it.Making anko from adzuki beans usually takes around a day so the flavour of this shiruko is a bit different. But on the other hand it has a less characteristic flavor that may be easier for shiruko novices to enjoy. This is mock shiruko so I only added a little bit of sugar.I blended my kidney beans in the food processor until they were still a little lumpy. Growing up I remember my mom would always have homemade beans ready, for breakfast, or lunch or dinner. There was always some ready. My mom would freeze her beans also to have them ready for a fast meal. She showed me how to make these growing up so I could pass down the recipe to my kids one day.selina1figueroa

Sautéed Crunchy Green Beans, Caramelize Mushroom, Ground Beef with Hoisin sauce Sautéed Crunchy Green Beans, Caramelize Mushroom, Ground Beef with Hoisin sauce
Not long ago my husband bought a packet of mushrooms from the store. Due to my busy schedule, I haven't had time to cook it yet. And 2 days ago, he bought another 1 packet of mushrooms back home. Of course before it goes bad, I need to get rid of at least 1 package soon. Luckily we both just wanted to eat rice. So I'm going to cook mushrooms that go well with rice. And finally I decided to saute and mix it with green beans, ground beef, and seasoned it with hoisin sauce. It doesn't take long to make. Very easy yet delicious.#asianfood Nia Hiura
