Banana bread! How much more comforting can it get to have a warm slice of freshly baked banana bread??
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Beat together 5 super ripe bananas and liquefy. Add four eggs. In a separate bowl cream together sugar and butter until creamy and add to banana mixture
- 2
Sift flour and add baking soda and salt in a separate bowl
- 3
Slowly add in the dry mixture to the wet mixture until creamy. Splash in milk and vanilla.
- 4
Spray loaf pans and divide mixture. I used 3 mini loaf and one regular loaf pan this time, I usually just use 2 regular loaf pans.
- 5
Bake at 275°F for an hour. Let cool completely, slice and enjoy.

I usually double this recipe, making 1 loaf and 1 batch of muffins. The recipe is very versatile. You can add more banana if you'd like to increase the banana flavor. I have also made it with add-ins (choc. chips, dried cranberries, chopped walnuts). Stir in after flour.

When I was young, my grandma used to always bake banana bread for us, and we'd eat a slice for breakfast every morning before school. Now that I'm older, I've found myself frequenting coffee shops in the morning, searching for the sweet smell of fresh baked banana bread. On most day, a slice is not difficult to find, but every once in a while, my go to spot sells out before I can reach it. For those days, I've started baking my own.Banana bread is very simple to make, and this recipe is very straightforward, though I've added my own twist by baking the bananas with sugar first to add a little caramelization and bring out the banana's aroma.Hope you enjoy!

Try this recipe if you have a pair of left over bananas - those which are overly ripe and the skins have slightly darkened. The quantity is enough for a 20x10x5 pan.
