Ingredients

  1. 250 gflour
  2. 2 teaspoonsyeast
  3. 75 mlsliquid milk
  4. 100 gbutter
  5. 1egg(whisked)
  6. 25 gsugar
  7. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  8. veg oil(for frying)
  9. clean cold water

Cooking Instructions

    Dilute yeast and sugar in warm water and allow to activate.

    Mix flour,milk,butter,salt and whisked egg in a bowl and gradually add the activated yeast till you have a smooth dough.mix well and allow to rise for 30minutes

    Flatten the dough by kneading on a clean flat surface and cut with the large and medium doughnut cutters.allow to rise for another 30 minutes

    Deep fry in hot vegetable oil for 5-8 minutes until colour changes to golden brown.

    Remove with a perforated spoon and place on a clean paper towel to soak up excess oil.sprinkle with sugar or dip in icing sugar
