Recipe was inspired by Kelsey Nixon's chowmein recipe but tweaked it to my liking. My version is much easier and quicker. Use any vegetables and meat u have. Also, I eye ball the ingredients but I'll try my best to list the measurements.

  8. 1 3/4 cupWarm water
  9. 1 tspcornstarch

  11. 1 tbspminced garlic
  12. 1 boxChinese chowmein noodles or egg noodles

  18. 1Lemon juice
  19. 1 bunchchopped cilantro
  20. 1 pinchsesame seeds
  21. 2 cupCooked shredded chicken. Use any amount or any meat u prefer

Cooking Instructions

30 mins
  1. 1

Cook Chinese chowmein noodles according to package directions

  2. 2

While waiting for noodles to cook, prep the sauce.

  3. 3

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredient for the sauce. Stir and set aside.

  4. 4

Using a pan or work over medium heat, add cooking oil.

  5. 5

Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green onion. Sautée for 10 sec until fragrant.

  6. 6

Add all the veggies and sautée for a good 5 minutes until tender.

  7. 7

Remove Veggie mixture and place in a bowl. Set aside.

  8. 8

Using the same pan on over medium heat, pour the sauce and cornstarch. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens a bit. It may seem like a lot of sauce but don't worry. The noodles will soak it all up.

  9. 9

Add cooked shredded chicken or any meat u prefer. Add cooked veggies we set aside.

  10. 10

Add cooked noodles and toss. Turn off heat and let the noodles sit for 5 minutes or so until it soaks up sauce. The more u let it sit, the more it's gonna absorb the sauce.

  11. 11

Serve on a bowl and garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
