Ingredients

  1. 1 lbDry Butter Beans (large lima beans)
  2. 1 1/2 lbSmoked Neckbones ( I use pork but turkey will taste just as amazing)
  3. 1Medium onion SLICED
  4. 1 tspgarlic powder
  5. 1/2 tspsavory
  6. 1/2 tspmarjoram
  7. salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Place butter beans in a large bowl cover the beans with 1 inch of water. Soak the beans overnight in the fridge.

    place your smoked neckbones in your slow cooker cover with water and cook for 1 hr.

    Add onion and Butter beans to the slow cooker.

  4. 4

    Add enough water to just cover the beans. We did not add seasoning yet because it will make the beans tough.

    Cook for 4 hours. Covered.

    Add your seasonings and stir. Cook for 30 minutes.

  7. 7

    Serve with rice or eat it like a soup. Enjoy
