I'm trying to loose weight and oatmeal prepared at home is a great way to kick start your day as its low in saturated fat and you get to control sugar and all the ingredients. Also, its very filling versus cereal or the pre packaged oatmeals for me. SaraTheMadam -

Just wanted to try something different as I find most sweet oatmeal to be bland. This is quite delicious and fulfilling but might need some fine tuning as a recipe!Fluffy Brick

California Farm Oatmeal Meatloaf California Farm Oatmeal Meatloaf
I have been experimenting with oatmeal and mixes of ground meat to make meatloaf, instead of using breadcrumbs and panko. This dish is gluten free.Oatmeal makes a juicier meatloaf that feels and tastes like real meat, once I preboiled and flavored the steel cut oats. So instead of a 50/50 mix of ground beef and pork, or beef and lamb, I made a 50/50 mix of ground lamb or pork with steel cut oatmeal. Delicious and economical. Hobby Horseman -
