I had half a loaf of stale bread that I'd bought a week and a half ago before the lockdown began, so I did this to revive it. Without any other added ingredients it can be eaten savoury or sweet as one likes. The egg and milk in the proportions given seem to be almost exactly enough for six slices of sandwich bread.

My family recipe for French Toast.

I wanted to eat French toast soaked in a milky mixture.When soaking the bread in the egg mixture, hold it firmly so it is coated well and evenly. Leave it in the mixture to soak and you'll get a nice melting texture. It will be as if it had been rested for a day. Recipe by Gakkoiburi
