Ingredients

  1. 250 gramsgranulated sugar
  2. 190 gramsmargarine
  3. 210 gramsall-purpose flour
  4. 2eggs
  5. 65 mlmilk
  6. 5 mlvanilla extract
  7. 50 mlwater
  8. 5 mlstrawberry extract
  9. 5 mlred colouring
  10. baking paper
  11. 1toppings like dried cranberries (if you want)

    Line cake pan with baking paper. Preheat oven to 175°C.

    Put margarine and sugar in a mixing bowl. Beat until light and fluffy.

  3. 3

    Add one egg, beat until batter is smooth. Add another egg and beat. Repeat for all eggs. Make sure eggs are at room temperature or batter will curdle.

    Add in flour bit by bit. Beat batter until smooth.

    Seperate some but not too much of the batter into a small bowl. Pour the bigger portion of the batter into the baking tin.

    In the other small bowl, pour in strawberry flavouring and red colouring. Mix well.

    Pour into baking pan in any pattern that you want. Use a knife to help make patterns. Put toppings if you want.

    Put into preheated oven and bake until toothpick comes out clean. Take out to cool. Serve.
