Beer battered onion rings Beer battered onion rings
I love onion rings, but I love it more when I could make it myself at home, it’s more tasty, crunchy. The secret of crispy and puffy of my onion rings is that I’m using beer in to my batter. If you are non alcohol person, you can substitute with soda water. If you want a super tasty onion rings don’t skip the seasonings and don’t forget the herbs, that’s the key! Reny Turner -
Low-Calorie Tonkatsu (Japanese style pork cutlet in bread crumbs) Low-Calorie Tonkatsu (Japanese style pork cutlet in bread crumbs)
My kids love Tonkatsu- Japanese style deep fried pork cutlets but I hate to deep fry, with all the extra oil and calories, So I pan-fried and let the oven do the rest. You can cut extra calories by using tenderloin instead of the usual loin which is much leaner. Miyuki Suyari -

Margherita Fritters: Batter-fried Tomato & Mozzarella Rings Margherita Fritters: Batter-fried Tomato & Mozzarella Rings
Incidentally, when it comes to pizza, I like nothing more than the simple yet gorgeous Margherita. Garlic, tomatoes, basil and Mozzarella - enough to make those salivary glands work overtime. So I have taken these basic ingredients of the delightful Margherita and turned them into fritters with a crisp, egg-y coating. The result is delicious. It takes little time to make. You could easily whip up a few for your guests this Diwali. The given ingredients yield about 15-16 fritters.PS. If you do not want to use eggs you could make a batter using cornflour and rice flour.More at: http://www.allthatsdelicious.com/margherita-fritters-batter-fried-tomato-mozzarella-rings-recipe Lets Talk Food -

Onion Pups Onion Pups
I love homemade onion rings, but I get a bit impatient battering and frying one ring at a time, especially when I'm craving a late-night snack. Knew there had to be a solution, so I developed this recipe. If you're making a lot of these for later consumption, prepare the pups (don't fry), place in a single layer on a cookie sheet, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and flash freeze the uncooked dough balls. Then vacuum seal and keep in the freezer. They go right from the freezer to the deep fryer. Frozen Onion Pup balls was what my daughter requested for a gift! :-) Maggie Conlon
