Sig's Crispy Duck Egg with Herb, Honey and Mustard Sauce Sig's Crispy Duck Egg with Herb, Honey and Mustard Sauce
I love duck eggs , was just a little fed up with eating them just boiled. I thought of my other deep fried egg recipe on here, but wanted something a little different. Then I thought of making Scotch Eggs with them, but decided to just use flour, egg and breadcrumb mix instead. They make awesome very yellow sponge cakes too. They are heavier than chicken eggs, they usually work out about two duck eggs to three chicken eggs, but can vary hugely in size so weigh then up against chicken eggs. Sigrun -
Boiled Chicken with Spicy Hot Tomato Ponzu Sauce Boiled Chicken with Spicy Hot Tomato Ponzu Sauce
I used a store-bought ponzu jelly-type sauce for my boiled chicken but it was not very good so I tried to make a similar sauce with gochujang. And then I realized it doesn't actually have to be jellied. That's how I arrived at this recipe. When you make the sauce, the dish might be very hot, so be careful! You can use regular-sized tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes.Use more gochujiang or use doubanjiang sauce for extra spiciness.
