Here is my spin on the classic Shepherd's Pie... Well really Cottage Pie, because it has ground beef instead of ground lamb... And I decided to be a little creative and use purple potatoes instead of the traditional Yukon potatoes. This is one of my favorite dishes! 😄

Even my son whom "hates" Shepard's Pie couldn't get enough. It should serve 6-8 but with my son it only served 3! I think this dish changed his mind. Score mom!

Really easy recipe and very versatile. Add peppers, mushrooms, diced tomatoes or whatever you have on hand.

One of my favourite recipes handed down to me by my mother. It's a traditional hunter's pie from the Veluwe area of the Netherlands using local ingredients found in the forests and heaths of the area (mostly).It is a hearty dish which will serve well during cold winter evenings.
