  1. 1 cupmoong daal
  2. 1 tbspginger-garlic paste
  3. 1 tspsalt or according to taste
  4. 1 tspturmeric powder
  5. 2spring onion chopped
  6. 2 tbspmustard oil
  7. 1 tsppanchforan
  8. 1 tspcumin powder
  9. 1tomato chopped
  10. 2red chilli
  11. 2green chilli

Cooking Instructions

    Soak moong daal for 2 hours and drain it.

    Heat a kadai,pour oil, add panchforan, red chilli, ginger-garlic paste and fry one minute.

    Now add chopped spring onions, salt and turmeric powder. Cook for 5 minutes.

    Now add soaked moong daal, spices, tomato, green chilli and a cup of water and cook for 15 minutes on medium to low flame.

    After 15-20 minutes, check if cooked. Serve with chapati or paratha.
