Ingredients

  1. 200 gmyellow moong daal (gram split)
  2. 200 gmwhite rice
  3. 2-3carrots (diced)
  4. 1 cupcauliflower florets
  5. 1potato (diced)
  6. 1 cuppumpkin (diced)
  7. Any other vegetables can be added according to choice
  8. 2 tbsppaanchforon (found in any asian store)
  9. 2-3green chili
  10. 2 tbspcumin powder
  11. 2 tbspcoriander powder
  12. 2-3 tbspginger paste
  13. 1bay -leaf
  14. 2 tbspturmeric
  15. 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)

Cooking Instructions

    Fry golden the veggies and mix the spices along. Dry roast the lentil and then wash together with rice. Put some oil in a pan and add paanchforon,bay-leaf and chili and spices. Add the vegetables with rice-lentil mixture and add about 2 cups water.simmer and cook until rice and lentil is properly cooked. Add a dollop of ghee for a great fragrance.
