Ingredients

  1. 12 ouncestomatillos
  2. 1/2medium onion diced
  3. 4 teaspoonsminced garlic
  4. 1 cupcilantro
  5. 2 teaspoonslime juice
  6. 1 tablespoonpeanut oil
  7. To tastesalt
  8. 1 tablespoondiced jalapeno peppers optional
  9. 1 cupwater
  10. 2 tablespoonsmaple syrup optional

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Add the oil to the pan fry the onion and garlic. Till onions are soft.

  2. 2

    Cut the tomatillos in half add to the onions. Sauté for 7 minutes add the cilantro and lime juice.

  3. 3

    Add water and boil for 20-25 minutes. Add peppers here if using. Stirring occasionally. Turn off heat for 10 minutes.
