Sinasir is a popular meal known in the Northern nigeria. It is made from white rice (farar shinkafa) or rather the rice for tuwo shikafa. It is soaked, blended and fried like pancake. It has this white suiting colour at the top with bubble openings and brown at the back just like pancake. It has a very nice taste. Just follow my step and arrive at the best

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Soak your rice till soft and grind. Add sugar, salt, flour, water, yeast and allow to rise for an hour
- 2
After it has rise, it will bubble like this.
- 3
This is called fefe in hausa language. It is what you will use to cover your pan while frying the sinasir in other for the steam not to be going back into the sinar. But if you dont have it, ive got an alternative in the 2nd and 3rd pic. Get a new or clean kitchen towel and tie it to a pot cover that the size will be able to cover your pan when you pour in your sinasir
- 4
Put your non sticky pan on fire..... Add table spoon oil and add your sinasir batter as required then cover with your fefe or the local fefe i made
- 5
Allow to fry until it look like the pic below...
- 6
Your sinasir is ready if inside and out look like this.
- 7
Slice and wash your Spinach (Aleho)
- 8
Boil your pomo and beef leaving little stock (water)
- 9
Dice your veggies... I love my veggies big
- 10
Add everything in a pot that is. Oil, Tomato, onion, pepper and seasoning, pomo and beef with the stock. Allow to simmer for 10mins. Please NOTE: i love my sinasir stew with little stock (water) that was why i added the beef, pomo and its stock. But if you dont like it watery you shouldnt add it because aleho has it own water.
- 11
Add in your aleho and allow to cook for 3mins
- 12
Its ready at this stage.
- 13
Make a plating of your choice... I love my sinasir stew with little water for my sinasir to soak in its juicy taste

Easy Beef Stew Easy Beef Stew
This is a recipe for cold winter days for my married older brother and his wife who are busy with work and child rearing. This warm stew is nutritious, prevents colds, and has plenty of carrots. If you really sear the meat well at first before adding the wine, it ends up delicious. I usually add mushrooms and potatoes when I make it, but when I make it to freeze I leave out the potatoes. When adding potatoes, add them in during Step 5 as you add the can of demi-glace sauce. For 4 servings. Recipe by Mawaru7 cookpad.japan -
Easy Beef Stew with Store-Bought Roux Using a Pressure Cooker Easy Beef Stew with Store-Bought Roux Using a Pressure Cooker
Photo updated in December 2020! You can make tender beef stew in a short time using a pressure cooker. The meat is so tender it can be cut with chopsticks! The origin of this recipe: I wanted to make a beef stew with large chunks of meat like you get at a restaurant. By adding the vegetables partway through and repressurizing, the meat and vegetables finish cooking at the same time! Add the mushrooms and broccoli at the end to keep their texture! Beef Stew Beef Stew
I adjusted a recipe I had for a while to create my own taste. The key is to cook the chicken after coating it in salt, pepper, and flour. When adding it back into the pot from the plate, add it together with the meat's juices. It's good even without white vinegar. Recipe by LittleBird cookpad.japan -
Mike's Peppered Beef Stew Mike's Peppered Beef Stew
Well, it was Wednesday in the O'Brien Shire & those of you in the know - knows what that means. "Its clean out the crispers, freezers and rotate the pantries time!" With that, my 6 and 7 year old students can make anything their crazy little hearts desire. Today, rainy and windy as it is, they chose a tummy soothing peppered stew. Delicious work kiddos and great shortcuts! You know me well! I'm all about the shortcuts! MMOBRIEN -
Mike's Oxtail Pepper Stew Mike's Oxtail Pepper Stew
I tell ya. Anytime my seven and eight year old students tell me they want to work with something like oxtails - I'm on it like white sausage gravy on homemade biscuits! If you love beef stew - you'll love this stew as well! This is a rich, delicious, fatty stew that's perfect for Fall and Winter weather meals. Especially with warm fresh, soft bread for dipping! This is also a very forgiving recipe that allows you to add or subtract most any ingredient. Heck, one of my students even added last night's shredded Carnitas to his oxtail stew. Freaking delicious! Great work kiddos!Know that oxtails are a bit pricier than traditional roasts. About $10.00 per 1.5 pounds. But, they're definitely worth the extra cost. MMOBRIEN -
