Ingredients

  1. 5medium sized tomatoes
  2. 150 gSmall onion
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. a small amountTamarind
  5. 1 pieceGinger
  6. 7 piecesGarlic
  7. 10 spoonOil
  8. 1 spoonMustard
  9. 1 spoonUrad dal / split black gram
  10. 1 sprigCurry leaves some
  11. 7dried red chillies

Cooking Instructions

    Add 2 spoons of oil and cook the tomatoes, tamarind, ginger, garlic,red chillies,small onion for 10 mins until they are well cooked.

    Cool the mixture in room temperature for 20 mins.

    Now transfer the mixture to a mixie jar and grind well. It should be very smooth and fine in texture.

    Now add the rest of the oil to a pan and add mustard, curry leaves and urad daal

  5. 5

    Saute well and pour in the tomato mixture.

  6. 6

    Keep the flame in sim and cook until the raw smell of the tomatoes go off.

    Turn off the stove and serve hot with idli, dosa.
