Amala( yamflour with bitterleaf soup
Like grating my bitterleaf so I won't feel the bitter taste. Yummy Yoruba meal.#1post1hope.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Pluck or buy fresh butter leaf, wash with little salt or vinegar (optional).
- 2
Grate bitterleaf(so it won't be bitter) optional too. You can wash, you can cut and pour hot water. Whatever suit you. And set aside
- 3
Wash your fish without removing the stick or broom so it won't scatter. I prefer the fish intact.
- 4
Place your pot on heat(gas, stove etc) add a little palm oil after few minute add onions
- 5
Pour your melon inside a bowl, add a little water to form a paste, scoop melon into your hot palm oil to form little balls. After frying for some time turn the other side.
- 6
Add your ground pepper, meat stock, seasoning crayfish and allow to Cook for 3-5 min.
- 7
Put your fish and allow to cook for another few minute till fish is well cooked.
- 8
Remove fish and pour your vegetable and onions, stir well till all is well combined. Allow to Cook for some minute, taste for salt. Since salt was not added initially because of meat stock and seasoning. Add salt if necessary..
- 9
Wooow. Your soup is ready
- 10
Boil some water, stir I your yam flour and continuing turning until you get a firm constituency. Add a little hot water cover with lid and allow to Cook for some more minute. Turn firmly again.
- 11
Enjoy your with. Amala is Bae any day
