Fried Pompano W/ Fresh Tomato Fish Sauce | Cá Chiên Sốt Cà Fried Pompano W/ Fresh Tomato Fish Sauce | Cá Chiên Sốt Cà
One of my favorite Vietnamese home comfort food! This dish brings back nostalgic memories of when mom used to cook dinner for our big family of 8. I remember never liking fish when I was little, but this dish made me took a liking to it. I realized that it’s not fish that I don’t like, it’s the way it’s prepared that I was picky about. This is a crispy fried fish with a sweet, sour, and savory sauce that’s full of color, flavor, freshness and umami. Quoc Nguyen | Chef Q -

Poquito Picante Hot Sauce by Boca de Fogo Poquito Picante Hot Sauce by Boca de Fogo
I am so happy that I finally nailed an everyday SoCal taco shop red hot sauce! For a while I've been trying different things to get that taste that I grew up with in Southern California's taco shops and I just seem to miss something every time. But not this time! This is a medium red sauce so everyone should be able to handle the heat level and it has a very unique, almost sweet taste mixing habanero and serrano peppers. I hope you enjoy! Boca de Fogo -

Simmered Tofu and Pork With Oyster Sauce Simmered Tofu and Pork With Oyster Sauce
I tried using umami-rich oyster sauce to flavor a dish with everyday ingredients.Firm tofu will stay intact, and silken tofu will fall apart a bit and be nice and soft. Use whichever you prefer.By mixing the pork with katakuriko potato starch flour and vegetable oil, it will become nice and tender. Also the sauce will be thickened by the starch flour on the pork.If you add a bit of doubanjiang spicy bean sauce, it will become a spicy dish. For 4-5 servings. Recipe by Junchan cookpad.japan -

The girlfriend asked me to cook her something prawn-y for our anniversary dinner so I came up with this. It came out well enough for her to ask for it two nights in a row so I figure it's good enough to share (the side dish is a baked polenta round with melted goat cheese). Jon -
Simple Shrimp Chili Sauce Simple Shrimp Chili Sauce
I wanted to make this as a simple bento item that could be eaten over rice. Not so much frying in oil, but rather like a stir fry. Use only a small amount of vegetable oil.It is coated in katakuriko, then fried, so you get a nice thick sauce. Coriander will give this a more authentic touch. For 2 bento portions.
