I tried it first time and it came out very well. When halwa was hot it was little sticky but once it cooled it became flaky and liked it very much.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cupmoong dal
  2. 1/2 cupsugar
  3. 1/2 cupsweetened khoya
  4. 1/4 cupGhee
  5. 6-7Cashewnut
  6. 5-6Badam
  7. 7-8Raisins
  8. 1/2 tspCardamom powder

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Clean moong dal. Add little water and put it in pressure cooker in small bowl and cook for 2 whistle.

    Remove the cooked dal allow it to cook for 5mins. If required grind it coarsely in mixer and keep it as side.

    Heat 2 tsp of ghee in nonstick sauce pan and roast all the dry fruits and keep it aside.

    Heat 2 tbsp of ghee and cooked dal and mix well. Add sugar and cook till it become soft and nice aroma comes. Add khoya and mix well. Add the remaining ghee and elachi powder and mix. Once it leaves the sides of pan then switch off the flame and allow it to cool.

    Garnsh with dry fruits and serve.
