Ingredients

  1. 2 spoonsRasam powder
  2. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. 1 tbspTamarind extract
  5. pinchHing
  6. 2Tomato
  7. 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  8. 1 tspJaggery
  9. As neededSunflower oil
  10. 1 tspmustard seeds
  11. 1 tspJeera
  12. 4-5curry leaves
  13. as neededcoriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Soak tamarind for 10 minutes. Extract the juice

  2. 2

    In a heavy bottom vessel, add tamarind extract, salt, rasam powder, hing, jaggery and water (2 cups). Boil for 10-15 minutes

  3. 3

    Add tomatoes and ginger garlic paste optionally, and cook for 5 more minutes

  4. 4

    Season with mustard, curry leaves. Garnish with coriander leaves.
