Ingredients

Serves 4 servin
  1. 1 bowlcooked yellow moong dal
  2. 1 bowlcooked palak
  3. 1 bowlsauted,sliced potatoes
  4. 1 bowlgrated paneer
  5. 6 cubesgrated cheese
  6. 2 tbspbutter
  7. For Dal
  8. 1small bowl yellow moong dal
  9. 1tomato grated
  10. 1 pieceginger
  11. 1 tspghee
  12. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  13. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  14. 1/4 tspjeera
  15. To tastesalt
  16. For Palak
  17. 4 bunchespalak
  18. 2tomatoes cut lengthwise
  19. 2onions cut lengthwise
  20. 1 pieceginger
  21. 3-4garlic
  22. 4-5green chilles
  23. 3 tbspoil
  24. 1/2 tspkasuri methi
  25. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  26. 1/4 tspCoriander powder
  27. To tastesalt
  28. For Sauted Potatoes.

  30. 2 tbspghee
  31. To tastesalt

Steps

    How to cook dal....

  2. 2

    Wash and soak dal for 1/2 an hour.

  3. 3

    In pressure cooker,heat ghee,add jeera,when it crackles,add tomato,ginger and all the dry masalas.

  4. 4

    Mix well,add enough water to soak the dal,cover the lid and pressure cook for 2whistles.

  5. 5

    Allow it to cool completely,open the lid and adjust the taste.

  6. 6

    The dal show be thick,keep aside.

    Palak...

  8. 8

    Wash and chop palak.

  9. 9

    In a heavy bottom vessel,boil 1cup water,add all the veggies,cook for 10mins.

    Allow it to cool completely,grind it to paste.

  11. 11

    Heat oil,add grounded palak,all the dry masalas and saute it for 10mins or till water dries.

    The gravy should be thick, adjust the taste.,keep aside.

    Potatoes....

    Wash,peel and cut potato slices.

    Apply salt over potatoes.

    Heat ghee in non -stick pan,saute potatoes cover and cook till it's done.

    Keep it aside.

    Grease the baking dish.

    Place layer of dal, layer of palak,layer of potatoes,layer of grated paneer and layer of cheese,dot it wth butter.Repeat the process.

    Place the baking dish in pre -heated oven,bake it for 15mins or till cheese turns golden

    Serve hot one pot meal..
