The ethnic scrumptious humble Egyptian pies ( fteer mshaltet) happened to be one of my favorite food on Earth. Never thought I will make it though, as it is cheep and available in every bakery in my home country. Since I moved to the Uk I didn’t have the chance to taste it ☹️. My family is having this👆🏻 for lunch tomorrow and I thought it’s now the perfect time to beat the beast as I always thought it’s a tough recipe. Actually it is an easy beasy one.check it yourself and you will see👇🏻 #bakingcontest

Cut it into 18 small balls - cover with oil and let them rest for an hour - each ball in the buttery mixture until well coated then make it as thin and transparent as u can (it’s ok to have halls :) )
- but them in layers (9 each)
- transfer into non stick sheet or covered with baking papers, fold the peripheries under the dough and brush it with the butter again
