Ingredients

15 minutes
4 servings
  • 6tomatoes washed and chopped
  • 1 bunchfresh mint
  • 1 bunchfresh coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cupgroundnuts
  • 1/4 cupchana
  • 4dry red chilies
  • 1 tbsfenugreek seeds
  • 6garlic pods
  • 1 tbsvegetable oil
  • 1 tbsmustard and jeera seeds
  • 1string curry leaves
  • Dry Spices
  • 1 tbschilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tbscoriander powder
  • 1 tbsjeera powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2 tbsjaggery
  • Lemon size tamarind pulp
  • For tadaka in the last
  • 1 tbsvegetable oil
  • 1 tbsjeera and mustard seeds
  • 1 tbschana and urad daal
  • 1string curry leaves
  • 1 pinchAsafoetida (hing)
  • 2chopped dry red chilies

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Put a pan on medium flame and add 1 tbs oil,add mustard and jeera seeds, garlic, chopped tomatoes,mint and coriander leaves. Stir for 5 minutes and add groundnuts and chana.

    Mix all ingredients well till it becomes soft. Add tamarind and jaggery and mix well. Add all spices and mix well. Now blend the mixture coarsely in the grinder

    For tadaka: Add 1tbs vegetable oil in Tadaka pan on low heat, add mustard and jeera seeds, add chana and urad daal let it be crispy add curry leaves, red chilies and lastly pinch of asafoetida and put it on the Chutney. Ready to eat with hot rice or Idly-Dosa.
