Grate carrot. clean and cut the chicken. Chop or grate the tomatoes. Prepare the ingredients

Cut onion into rings. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and rub it into the onion. This makes onion crispy. Heat oil. Fry the onions and keep aside

Peel and cut the potatoes, chop them. Put some orange colour on them. Fry them

Fry the chicken pcs. Keep aside

Take the yogurt, put in all the spices only. Mix well and keep aside for the spices to enhance their flavor

Put a sufuria or a pan on heat. Put 3 tbsp oil from the oil used to fry the chicken in it..add in the whole masala and add in the carrots n tomatoes.

Add in the ginger and garlic, mix, add yogurt mixture, And mix. Put half cup water. And let this cook for a minute or 2

Now add in the chicken and onions and potatoes. Mix well. Add green chillies and mix. Add 1 to 2 cups water and mix. Let this cook for 5-6 minutes and then cover for 1-2 minutes

When masala is somewhat dry, it is ready to serve with the biryani rice.
