I have always loved soft pretzels. But unless you get them from a bakery, they lack that chewy, homemade goodness. Now I can have them whenever I want and are they good!

I love soft pretzels and when I finally found a recipe I liked, I stuck with it. I make the pretzels and the bites both. I also brush with melted butter and garlic and parmesan cheese. Whatever you like, Possibilities are endless! Serving size depends on how big or small you make them. This recipe make 12 oversize pretzels.

This is for my son who loves carrots and cheese. It's easy since you won't be needing any special ingredients.You can substitute the cake flour with rice flour or the tapioca flour.It is also delicious with a kabocha squash or edamame instead of carrot.If you don't feel like cutting the thin sticks, you can cut into square crackers. I was at my parents home with my children and we bought salad flavored Glico pretzel chips. I happened to look on the back at the ingredients list and "powdered mashed potatoes" was written.I thought, "Wait, can't I simply make these at home??" So I took the ingredients that I had in my kitchen, and although I wasn't able to produce the exact same pretzel sticks, I was able to make a delicious crispy-crunchy hearty version. Thank you so much!When you mash up the potatoes in step one, and when you mix the ingredients in step two, it will cut back on the dishes you will have to wash if you do it in a plastic bag.Compared with carrot pretzel sticks, you can cut these thinly quite easily and they're easy to make. This is most likely due to the starch in the potatoes. When I made carrot pretzel sticks, I couldn't cut them well!! This is an adaptation of the classic strawberry jello salad using those famous Thanksgiving canned cranberries. The bottom layer is crushed pretzels, butter, Grahm cracker crumbs, and praline pecans. The middle layer is a sour cream cheesecake no bake filling. The top layer is a combination of canned cranberries, strawberry jello, and mandarin oranges. It is the perfect combination of crunch, sweet, and creaminess. It can be placed in a long dish. I prefer individual serving cups. This yielded 24 servings
