Popular Gujarati hot savoury snack- Khichu usually made with rice flour. Instead of rice flour I used poha flour( made by grinding poha in mixer grinder) and with same ingredients & method for making Rice Khichu I prepared this delicious savoury .

Popular Gujarati hot savoury snack- Khichu usually made with rice flour. Instead of rice flour I used poha flour( made by grinding poha in mixer grinder) and with same ingredients & method for making Rice Khichu I prepared this delicious savoury .
Steps

Grind poha in mixer grinder jar to make poha flour. Put it thali. Add & mix salt, asafoetida and green chilli paste to poha flour. Keep aside.

In a vessel add water, cumin seeds and soda bi carb. Boil it on medium flame till 2 cups of water mixture is left.

Pour this cumin seeds -water mixture little by little on poha flour and mix well to make smooth soft dough without lumps.

Make flatten balls from prepared dough making hole in center as shown. Place in grease Chalni.(Plate with holes for steaming).

Steamed for 10 mins in Steam Cooker/ Vessel.

Serve /Relish Delicious Hot Poha Khichu by pouring 1 /2 tsp ghee or oil on it,and a big pinch sprinkling red chilli powder.
