Combine milk, water, butter, and sugar in a small bowl.

Sprinkle yeast evenly over top of liquids, mix gently and let sit for 5 minutes until foam forms.

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.

Add 1 egg and wet ingredients, mix until barely together

Turn onto floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes, until you can stretch a small piece and it does not rip.

Add more flour as needed for stickiness

Lightly grease a bowl, add dough, cover with plastic wrap, and let sit for 1 hour or until doubled in size

Turn dough out onto floured surface, knead briefly until smooth

Divide dough into 16 pieces, rolling each into balls with a smooth top

Place on parchment paper-lined cookie sheet, cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 375°F

Beat remaining egg, then brush over rolls. Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and doubled in size.
