Ingredients

  • 1/4 cuppeanuts
  • 1/4 cupchana dal
  • 1-2green chilli or dry red chilies
  • 1/4 inchginger
  • 1 tablespoonsesame seeds
  • 12-15curry leaves
  • 1-2 teaspoonoil
  • 1 pinchasafoetida (hing)
  • Salt as required
  • Water as required
  • Coconut
  • 1/4Urad dal

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan. fry the peanuts on a low to medium flame for 3 too 4 minutes Add the curry leaves and fry for a minute.Add the curry leaves and fry for a minute.,
    Lastly add the roasted chana dal, sesame seeds & asafoetida and fry for 2-3 minutes more on a low flame.

    Take care that you don't over brown or burn this mixture, else the chutney might have bitter tones,Let this mixture warm or cool down.

    Add in a grinder or a small blender,add all the roasted ingredients and salt coconut blend them and if you want to put to store them you can whenever you want to make moongfali chutney easily you can just add some water in it your moongfali chutney is ready
