Steps

Rinse the chickpeas well and soak them in water overnight.

Place them in a food processor and grind well, adding the cilantro and onion.

Add the spices, crushed garlic, salt, and 1 cup of water. Mix well to form a dough. Add the baking soda and mix, then let it rest for 15 minutes.

Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain well.
