Wash the okra in a running water,remove on a kitchen towel,wipe and pat dry...

Chop the okras 1by 4 as in the image or as you wish too..

Heat a wok/kadhai,add oil, mustard seeds,let it splutter,add cumin seeds, asafoetida,green chillies, curry leaves and add onions,saute till becomes translucent...cook on a low flame..

Add the dry spices(turmeric,dhania-jeera powder,red chilli powder)saute well.

Add tomatoes,saute till becomes soft and add the okras and cook on open without lid by stirring occasionally..

Cook for 10-12mins.till soft and Switch off the flame.

Okra stir fry is ready to serve wdh chapati,phulkas or dal-rice combo.
