German Rouladen German Rouladen
This was my favorite dish growing up (still is) and was served on special occasions by my German grandparents. Basically it’s a meat roll-up with bacon, pickle, and onion - slow cooked in a beef broth. It’s the ultimate guy-thing in German comfort food. Trust me. Rick M -

Kohlrabi Sauté Kohlrabi Sauté
When I was thinking about how to cook the kohlrabi, Cookpad user Suzupiyo's "Asparagus Stir-Fry with Butter and Soy Sauce"came to mind. I added some garlic and used light-colored kohlrabi. The main point is to sauté it until it's browned, but it should still have that delicious crunchy texture. Recipe by meg115 cookpad.japan -

Sauerkraut Rolls (Krautkrapfen) Sauerkraut Rolls (Krautkrapfen)
Krautkrapfen is a German dish made by rolling up sauerkraut or sautéed cabbage into a noodle dough, then braising it in hot broth. Adding some caraway seeds and bacon is the secret to making this extra delicious ;) If you have homemade sauerkraut, it will taste even better. It's very filling and goes well with light sides or salads. One of my most favorite German dishes of all time. I hope you'll give it at ry.This particular recipe is from southern Germany. Depending on the recipe, it might be baked in the oven too! Felice -
