The Easiest American Pancakes in the World

On Sunday, we wanted a big snack, so we indulged in pancakes, syrup, and more. It was amazing! I had never made such an easy pancake recipe before, but I decided to try it because we didn't feel like going to a restaurant for classic American pancakes. So, I found a recipe, adapted it to what I had at home, and they turned out delicious!

- To fry the pancakes, we need: butter or margarine and paper towels
- To serve the pancakes: We can have them with chocolate, sugar, Nutella, syrups
(if you use cake flour with a bit of baking powder, they turn out even fluffier)

Ingredients

15 minutes
4 servings
  1. Ingredients for about 8 American pancakes
  2. 1 cupmilk
  3. 1 cupflour
  4. 1 tablespoonextra virgin olive oil
  5. 1generous tablespoon baking powder
  6. 1 pinchsalt
  7. 1 tablespoonvanilla sugar
  8. 1egg

Cooking Instructions

15 minutes
  1. 1

Beat the egg very well. I beat the white first and then the yolk.

  2. 2

Add all the ingredients to the bowl and keep beating continuously. The batter will thicken and gain strength.

  3. 3

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for 5 - 10 minutes to avoid having to let the batter rest, so they come out fluffy.

  4. 4

Meanwhile, prepare the pan, plate, and butter. I prefer a small pan and making them one at a time.

  5. 5

Take out the batter. Rub a bit of butter on the pan using a paper towel. Pour a large spoonful of batter into the pan.

  6. 6

Spread the batter to the size you like for the pancakes. (use the back of the spoon to help)

  7. 7

Flip the pancake, let it brown on the other side, and... onto the plate.

  8. 8

Repeat this process until you run out of batter.
