In a pan heat, ghee add mava and fry for 5-10 mins or on medium flame till it leaves the pan and comes together. Make sure not to burn.

Transfer it tone plate and let it cool a bit but not completely. When it is warm add sugar and cardamom power and mix well.

Take a small portion out of it and give the shape of your choice. Place a piece of the nut on the top and it's ready. Enjoy. I have made it in two shapes one is regular peda shape and the other is in Modak shape for Bappa.

For Modak I have coarsely ground the roasted cashews and almond and cut the raisins into small pieces and mixed into the khoya mixture, you can make it as a filling inside the Modak.
