Ingredients

4 servings
  • For Rava idli
  • 1 CupRava (Sooji)
  • 2 cupCurd
  • as neededWater
  • 1 teaspoonEno
  • to tasteSalt
  • as neededOil
  • For Dry masala
  • 10-12Dry red chilli
  • 1 tbspChana Dal
  • 1 tbspUrad dal
  • 1 tbspWhite Seaseme seeds (Til)
  • 1/2 tbspMusterd seeds
  • 10-15Curry leaves
  • For Tadka
  • 2 tspOil
  • 2medium size onion (Chopped)
  • 2Tomato (Chopped)
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2-3 tbspwater

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a bowl add Rava curd and water and mix it well. Rest for 10 to 15 minutes.

    Now add salt add Eno and mix well.grease the mold with oil.add idli Batter and steam for 7 to 8 minutes

  3. 3

    Check the idli with toothpicke.it should came out be clean.cool the idli and then Demold the idli.

  4. 4

    For Dry masala. 10 to 15 Dry red chilli, Curry leaves, Sesame seeds(Till),ChanaDal,Urad Dal, Musterd seeds, 1 teaspoon oil dry roast. Nicely aroma come out.turn off the flame.let it cool and Grind the masala.

    For Tadka Take a Pan add oil and chopped onion,when onion are light brown.and add Chopped tomato add salt mix it well. tomato turn soft and mushy. Now add Dry masala. And mix it well. 2 to 3 tbsp of water. And mix well.Now add idli.and Cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Turn off the flame.

    Ready to serve. Enjoy your masala Rava idli.
