Ingredients

  1. For tart shell:
  2. 1 and 3/4 cupAll-purpose flour
  3. 3/4 cupButter
  4. 1/4 tspSalt
  5. 3 tbspIce cold water
  6. Forpasta salad:
  7. 1 cupBoiled pasta
  8. 2 tbspAll-purpose flour
  9. 1 tbspButter
  10. 4 tbspMilk
  11. 5tomatoes
  12. 1 capsicum
  13. 1 cup carrot (finely chopped)
  14. 1/2 tspSalt
  15. 1/2 tspBlack pepper powder
  16. 1/2 tspOregano
  17. 1/2 tspChilli flakes

Steps

50 minutes
  1. 1

    For tart shell: Sieve the flour and salt.
    Mix butter, rub till it becomes like bread crumbs.

    Add water and make a stiff dough and refrigerate for at least 15 min. Divide the dough into 10. Equal portions.

    Roll out a portion of the dough into 4 inches diameter. Place the circles into the tart moulds and press gently. Prick them with a fork.

  4. 4

    Bake these tart shells at 200 degrees c for10 to 12 mins. Cool the tart shells and demould the tart shells. Now you can fill these tart shells with pasta salad.

    For PASTA SALAD

  6. 6

    Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, add flour and cook over medium heat stirring
    constantly. Over low heat add milk gradually, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

  7. 7

    In 2 min, it will become sauce-like consistency. Turn off the gas. Mix salt, pepper,oregano and chilli flakes. Cool it.

  8. 8

    Mix pasta and veggies into white sauce. Fill these tart shells with pasta salad and enjoy garden fresh mini tart shells.
