Boil some potatoes until soft. Drain the excess water

Mash the potatoes in a separate bowl

Fry chopped onions till translucent and add your spices. Do not use a lot of oil!

Add your potatoes and cook on very low heat while mashing

Let the potatoes cool and roll them into balls. Make a paste using gram flour and water. The paste should neither be too thick or too thin.

Coat the potatoes in the paste and deep fry. The oil should neither be too hot or too cold
