Easy Black Pepper Turkey Stir-fry

My husband and I both like the black pepper chicken from Panda Express. In an attempt to recreate it using an authentic Chinese recipe, I realized I didn't have chicken, so used ground turkey instead.
*can be made using diced chicken thighs (or breast) as well - but I would recommend marinating them in a cornstarch, water & ginger mix

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prep everything before you start cooking, chop the veggies and mix all the sauce ingredients together
- 2
In a wok, or medium/large pan, heat 1tbsp oil over medium-high heat, add in ground turkey and ginger
- 3
Once the turkey is done cooking, drain the liquid from the pain. Push the turkey aside and add 1tbsp oil
- 4
Add in the bell pepper, onion, celery. Cook on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until you see some browned pieces of veggies and turkey
- 5
Stir in the sauce (make sure to mix it well before adding so the cornstarch isn't settled at the bottom) and remove from heat once sauce thickens.
- 6
Serve over white or brown rice or noodles

Turkey Pesto Veggie Stir Fry Turkey Pesto Veggie Stir Fry
Notes:- Be sure to drain the turkey and oil before the whole thing gets too heavy!- I accidentally dunked too much olive oil when I made mine, so the 1-2tsps is my estimate- I also used 4lbs of turkey (2 full packages) and it was very meat-heavy. If you want a meaty dish, it was still delicious. I personally prefer veg-heavy.- This dish was inspired by a random recipe I found on Pinterest, but it’s largely customized. The original called for only zucchini and chopped cherry tomatoes which I’m sure is also delicious! Kelsy Wells -

Chicken and Garlic Stir-fry with Black Pepper Chicken and Garlic Stir-fry with Black Pepper
I ate a tasty squid version of this at a Thai restaurant near my home. I tried to make a chicken version. The key is to use a lot of garlic and black pepper. (It doesn't have much flavour if you only use a little.) I used skinless thigh meat, but it is also nice with chicken breast meat. Recipe by Setsubunhijiki cookpad.japan -
