Heart-Shaped Chocolate Pie Bites

Since Valentine's Day was approaching, I made these for my daughter. The shapes didn't really look like hearts when I used a 3 cm mold, plus the chocolate wouldn't fit, so I'll use 5 cm molds next time.
I recommend using a 5 cm mold. Putting a lot of chocolate inside is really yummy.
If using a pre-made pie crust, start from Step 7. Recipe by Shioaji

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Add the ◇ bread flour and cake flour to a bowl. Add 1 cm cubed cold butter and mix with your fingers until crumbly.
- 2
After the batter becomes pretty crumbly and mixed together, form a well in the center and pour in the cold water.
- 3
Use the palm of your hand to gather it all together. Wrap it tightly and rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour or more.
- 4
Dust a working space with flour and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough from Step 3 to a thickness of 1 cm.
- 5
Fold it together three times and then roll out in the opposite direction. Repeat this 4-5 times.
- 6
Tightly wrap it again and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- 7
Preheat the oven to 230ºC. If you have it, set down a 3 mm cake ruler, and roll out the dough to 3 mm with a rolling pin. Cut into hearts and line up on the tray.
- 8
You'll be using 2 hearts for one pie. On one side, top with broken chocolate pieces that fits the dough. On the other heart, spread lines using egg yolk mixed with 1 teaspoon of water to act as a glue, and then sandwich the hearts.
- 9
As seen in the image, use a cake fork with thin tines to secure the two pieces together.
- 10
Spread a sheet of aluminum foil onto the baking tray and line up the pies. Brush on of the same "glue" made from a wash (egg yolk mixed with water), and top with a sprinkling of granulated sugar. Bake for 10-15 minutes on the middle rack at 230ºC.

Super Easy Imitation Chocolate Pie Bites with Pastry Sheets Super Easy Imitation Chocolate Pie Bites with Pastry Sheets
My kids told me that chocolate chip pies don't have enough chocolate, so I made these very easy pies with a lot of chocolate and look like those famous pie bites. When you bake them until well browned, even if they are cooled, they are still crispy.I tried with bite-sized chocolates and chocolate bars, but bite-sized chocolates made the result look cuter, even though they were a bit harder to shape. When you are using chocolate bars, I recommend Ghana chocolate. Recipe by Baketto cookpad.japan -

I had lots of left over puff pastry and wanted to imitate my favorite snack. The chocolate is so thick and yummy when just baked. They also make fantastic gifts! When sticking the 2 puff pastry pieces together it helps if you wet the edges, like you would when you make gyoza dumplings. For anyone who wants to make them look even better, try sprinkling sugar over the egg glaze.
