Ingredients

  • 2 cupsrice
  • 2 tablespoonsoil
  • 1/2 cupdiced white onion
  • 3gloves garlic, chopped
  • 4 cupsbroth, water (chicken)
  • 1bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoonsea salt
  • 2fresh seranno or jalapeno peppers, whole

Steps

  1. 1

    Saute rice in oil til lightly browned

  2. 2

    Add onion and garlic, stir 1-2 minutes

  3. 3

    Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil

  4. 4

    Reduce heat and simmer 5 min

  5. 5

    Cover and simmer 15 min

  6. 6

    Turn off and rest 10 min more. Fluff rice and serve.
