Soya chunks and peas pulao

Wash the rice and soak for 10-15 minutes.

Soak the soya chunks in salted hot water for 10-15 minutes, also keep the green peas, onions, chillies and garlic ready.

Now heat oil in pressure cooker on medium flame.

When the oil is hot add cumin, once it starts to crackle add the other whole spices.

Now saute the green chillies, garlic and onions on low flame.

Once the onion is done and turns pink add the green peas and all the spice powder along with salt.

Saute this well for few minutes until you get a nice fragrance, then squeeze the soya chunks remove excess water and add to this, again stir and cook well.

Add the rice to this and mix well.

Add the water, mix once well and cover the cooker lid and cook until you get 4 whistles.

Once its done serve hot with curd, raita, pickle or any side dish of your choice.
