  • 1.1 lbsshrimp (500 grams), peeled
  • 1 teaspoonfish seasoning or mixed spices, or any spices you have
  • 1 teaspoongarlic powder
  • 1 teaspoononion powder
  • 1 teaspoonturmeric
  • 1 teaspooncumin
  • Hot pepper to taste
  • 2medium zucchini
  • 1medium potato
  • 2ripe tomatoes
  • 1onion
  • Garlic cloves, as desired
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoonparsley
  • Cauliflower, as desired
  • 1lemon
  • 1 tablespoontomato paste
  • 8.8 ozunsalted butter (250 grams)
  • 1 cupwater (about 240 ml), add more if needed

    Grease an oven-safe tagine or baking dish with butter. Add the onion, then layer the potato on top.

    Add the zucchini, cauliflower, and hot pepper, then top with the shrimp.

    Finish with a layer of tomatoes on top.

    Pour the spice mixture (spices mixed with lemon juice and tomato paste) over everything.

    Cover tightly with foil and bake in the oven at 450°F (230°C), using only the bottom heat if possible.

    Mix the spices, lemon juice, and tomato paste together. You’ll need about 1 cup (240 ml) of water for the mixture.
