For masala dry roast urad dal,5 red chilies, peppercorns. Grind it to a fine powder.

Boil potatoes and chop keep it ready, chop the onion.

Heat oil in a pan adds mustard seeds when crackles add curry leaves, red chilies, chopped onion, and saute for a while.

Now add potatoes and mix well together.

Now add prepared masala and mix well, cook for some time.

Here Chettinad aloofly is ready to serve.
