Steps

Boil the potatoes and mash. Set aside.

For the dough - In a bowl add Maida, carrom seeds, oil, and salt and mix well. Make a soft dough and set it aside for 10 mins.

Roast the Besan and set aside.

For the filling - in a wok heat oil and add chopped green chilies, Kashmiri red chili powder, Amchur powder, Kasuri Methi powder, Pau Bhaji Masala powder, salt, and mix well. Add roasted Besan and mix well.

Add mashed potato and mix well. Set aside to cool.

Roll the dough and make 1” size balls.

Roll out like pooris and make three insertions in the middle. Don’t do it all across. Add oblong shape stuffing in the middle and fold two sides. Press to make it firm.

Press the sides like toffee and set aside. Complete the batch.

In a wok heat oil and deep fry the toffee in batches. Flip sides once fried well.

Plate and enjoy with green chilies or any chutney.
