Soak rice and moong dal for half an hour. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, bay leaf and cardamom

Add onions and let them turn pinkish. Add capsicum and cook them for 4-5 minutes.

Now add carrot, green garlic, curry leaves and cook them for 4-5 minutes.

Add tomatoes, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, green chili and cook till oil separates.

Add rice and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Add water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.

Serve hot masala khichdi with curd and enjoy the flavors.
