This is a standard dish in my house.
The dish in the top picture was made with silken atsuage.
Microwaving it in Step 1 saves a lot of time.
Cook on both sides in Step 2.

Cooking Instructions

Slice a large piece of atsuage into eighths, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave for 40 seconds at 500 W. Combine the ingredients marked ● in a separate bowl.

Put the atsuage in a heated frying pan and cook over medium to strong heat until browned.

Pour on the ● mixture to glaze.
- 4
Transfer to serving dishes and season with shichimi spice and white sesame seeds.
